FAQ
Questions, answered
Is the image cropper free?
Yes. It's completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many files you process. It costs Ethical Tube nothing to run, because the work happens on your own device rather than on a server.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser, so your files never leave your device. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.
Does cropping reduce quality?
No. The cropped area keeps its original pixels. JPG and WebP images are re-encoded at high quality when saved, which is very hard to tell apart from the original.
Can I crop a photo into a circle?
Not yet. The cropper makes rectangles. For a round profile picture, crop to 1:1, since most apps show square images as circles.
