Resize images

Ethical Tube's free image resizer changes JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC, and other images to exact pixel dimensions or a percentage of their size, in your browser. Keep the aspect ratio or set the width and height yourself, and resize a whole batch at once. Your images are never uploaded.

How it works

How to resize an image

  1. Add your images

Drop images onto the page, click to choose them, or paste one. HEIC photos from an iPhone work too.

  2. Set the new size

Type a width or height in pixels, or a percentage. With Keep aspect ratio on, the other side adjusts automatically.

  3. Download

Download each resized image, or all of them at once as a ZIP.

Good to know

Tips for resizing

  • Shrinking an image keeps it sharp. Enlarging it can't add detail, so big increases look soft.
  • Common sizes: 1080 × 1080 for Instagram posts, 1200 × 630 for link previews, 1920 × 1080 for HD wallpapers.
  • When you set both width and height with Keep aspect ratio off, the image is stretched to fit. Use the crop tool to cut it to a new shape instead.
  • High-quality resampling is used, so text and edges stay clean when you shrink.

FAQ

Questions, answered

Is the image resizer free?

Yes. It's completely free, with no sign-up, no watermark, and no limit on how many files you process. It costs Ethical Tube nothing to run, because the work happens on your own device rather than on a server.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Everything happens inside your browser, so your files never leave your device. Once the page has loaded, the tool even works offline.

Can I resize many images at once?

Yes. Add as many images as you like, and the same size settings apply to all of them. Download them one by one or as a ZIP.

Does resizing reduce quality?

Making an image smaller keeps it sharp. JPG and WebP images are re-encoded at high quality, which is very hard to tell apart from the original.
